Bangkok · Routine Service

I brought in a mechanical piece that had been sitting unworn for a few years. The turnaround was about three weeks — they told me upfront it would be two to three and they were right. The service record they handed back with it was genuinely detailed.

Silom · Case Refinishing

What I appreciated was the assessment before they touched anything. They described exactly what polishing would involve — including areas where they'd leave certain marks alone because of how old the case is. That's not something you usually hear explained.

Thonburi · Heritage Overhaul

My grandfather's chronograph — a mid-century piece — needed a full overhaul. The documentation they provided at each stage was something I hadn't expected. I understood what was happening throughout, and the watch now runs reliably for the first time in years.

Sukhumvit · Routine Service

I have a quartz that I've worn daily for eight years. It was running erratically and the service I'd had elsewhere a couple of years ago hadn't helped much. Tikvault found a mainspring tension issue that hadn't been mentioned before. Straightforward and well-communicated throughout.

Lat Phrao · Case Refinishing

The crystal on my diver had a crack I'd lived with for too long. Tikvault replaced it and did a light polish on the case without overdoing it — it still looks like it's been worn, which was what I wanted. The turnaround was a bit longer than I expected, but they told me why and kept me updated.

Chatuchak · Heritage Overhaul

Brought in a calendar watch from the 1960s that belonged to my father. The Tikvault team were honest from the start about what might and might not be achievable with the parts situation. It took about eight weeks, but the piece now runs and the documentation they provided is something I'll keep with it permanently.

Detailed client journeys

Challenge

1960s manual-wind movement, stopped

A vintage piece inherited from a family member had stopped running. The owner hadn't had it serviced in over a decade and was uncertain whether it could be brought back reliably.

Solution

Heritage overhaul with full documentation

The movement was disassembled, all worn components identified, and parts sourced where possible. The overhaul was documented at each stage with written notes on each decision. The owner was consulted at two points where the scope needed adjustment.

Result

Running accurately after 9 weeks

The piece was returned running at ±8 seconds per day — acceptable for its age. The owner received a full stage-by-stage record and a summary of what to watch for at the next service interval.

Challenge

Cracked crystal, case scratches, uncertain state of movement

A sports watch brought in for refinishing had cosmetic damage from regular wear. The owner was also unsure whether the movement needed servicing, as it was still running.

Solution

Pre-work assessment, refined scope agreed

Tikvault assessed the movement separately and found it was within normal service parameters — the owner chose to defer movement work. The crystal was replaced and a light case polish applied, focusing on functional marks rather than worn edges.

Result

Improved appearance, deferred movement cost

The watch was returned looking cleaner without losing its character. The owner appreciated being given the choice about movement work rather than having it added automatically. Total turnaround was just under four weeks.

Challenge

Daily-wear quartz, inconsistent timekeeping

A frequently worn quartz watch was losing two to three minutes per week, having had a battery change elsewhere six months prior. The previous shop had not identified any issue.

Solution

Routine service with contact cleaning

The movement was disassembled and the battery contacts were found to be oxidised, causing intermittent power delivery to the movement. The contacts were cleaned, the movement lubricated, and the piece reassembled and tested.

Result

Accurate timekeeping restored, 2-week turnaround

The watch was returned running within manufacturer specification. The written record noted the contact oxidation finding so the owner could mention it if the issue recurred at a future service.
