How Tikvault approaches every service
Whatever the service type, the process at Tikvault begins with a careful intake assessment. The movement and case are examined in natural and artificial light, the timekeeping rate is measured where applicable, and any visible wear or damage is noted before the watch is accepted for work.
From intake to return, the piece is stored in a labelled individual tray. Nothing is mixed, shared between jobs, or handled without documentation. The written record created at intake travels with the piece through the workshop and is handed back with the watch at collection.
Intake & assessment
The piece is examined and the condition is noted. For refinishing or overhaul work, a written pre-work assessment is prepared.
Review & approval
You review what's planned and confirm the scope. No work begins on anything beyond the agreed service without your knowledge.
Service & documentation
Work is carried out at a pace suited to the complexity. Heritage overhauls are documented stage by stage.
Return with record
The piece is returned with a written service record. You leave with documentation of what was done and when.

Routine Servicing & Cleaning

Service 02
Case & Dial Refinishing

Gentle case polishing, crystal replacement, and dial detailing that respects the original character of the piece. A measured approach focused on preserving rather than over-restoring. Includes a pre-work assessment so the owner can review the planned steps first.

Service 03
Complication & Heritage Overhaul

Full overhaul of chronographs, calendars, and older calibers, with component refurbishment where parts allow. A longer, methodical process for cherished and vintage timepieces. Documented stage by stage so the owner understands each decision.

Workshop Standards
Applied to every service
Ultrasonic cleaning
All movement components are cleaned using calibrated ultrasonic equipment with solutions matched to each material type.
Correct lubricants
Lubricant selection follows movement type and age. Applying the wrong oil to a caliber shortens its service interval and causes premature wear.
Rate verification
After regulation, mechanical movements are tested on a timing machine to verify rate accuracy across multiple positions.
Individual storage
Each piece is stored in a separate labelled tray throughout its time in the workshop. Nothing is co-mingled between jobs.
