Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which Tikvault provides watch repair and restoration services. We encourage you to read them before submitting a timepiece or making an enquiry, so that the arrangement is clear from the outset.

Last Updated: 10 June 2025 Effective Date: 10 June 2025 Governing Law: Kingdom of Thailand

1. Definitions

The following terms carry the meanings set out below throughout this document:

  • "Tikvault" / "we" / "us" — the watch repair and restoration workshop operating at 73 Sathorn Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.
  • "Client" / "you" — any person who submits an enquiry, delivers a timepiece, or otherwise engages with Tikvault's services.
  • "Service" — any watch repair, cleaning, refinishing, or restoration work carried out by Tikvault.
  • "Timepiece" — any watch, clock, or horological item submitted to Tikvault for assessment or servicing.
  • "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, together with any written service agreement or assessment record provided at the time of service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a timepiece to Tikvault for assessment or service, or by using our website to make an enquiry, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and agree to be bound by them.

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 or over who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Services

Tikvault currently offers three categories of service:

Routine Servicing & Cleaning ฿3,740

Includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, fresh lubrication, regulation, gasket inspection, and a written record of work.

Case & Dial Refinishing ฿7,140

Includes case polishing, crystal replacement, dial detailing, and a pre-work assessment for client review prior to commencement.

Complication & Heritage Overhaul from ฿11,560

Full overhaul of chronographs, calendars, and vintage calibers. Documented stage by stage. Final price confirmed after assessment.

All listed prices are indicative. For complex or vintage pieces, a written assessment will be provided before any work begins. No service is started without the client's agreement to the scope and cost.

Service availability may vary. We reserve the right to decline work on a timepiece if we assess that we cannot perform it to an appropriate standard.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients who submit timepieces to Tikvault agree to the following:

  • You are the legal owner of the timepiece, or you have clear authority to authorise servicing on the owner's behalf.
  • You will provide accurate information about the timepiece, including any known faults, prior repairs, or modifications.
  • You will collect your timepiece within 30 days of being notified that it is ready. Items not collected within 90 days, after reasonable notice, may be held at storage cost.
  • You will not use our website or services in any manner that violates applicable law or that is intended to mislead or harm others.

5. Intellectual Property

All written content, imagery, layout design, and technical documentation on the Tikvault website are the property of Tikvault or are used with appropriate permission. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish any part of this website for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Your use of our website grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access our content for the purpose of learning about our services and making an enquiry. This licence does not include the right to extract, download in bulk, or adapt our content.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

For straightforward services, payment is due upon collection of the timepiece. For complex overhauls, a deposit may be requested before work commences; this will be communicated in the written assessment.

We accept cash and standard payment methods as agreed at the time of service. Prices quoted at the assessment stage are held for 30 days.

Where circumstances during a repair require an adjustment to the agreed scope or price, we will contact you before proceeding. Work will not exceed the agreed estimate without your written or verbal confirmation.

Regarding refunds: if you withdraw from a service after an assessment has been carried out but before work begins, we may retain a reasonable assessment fee. Once work has commenced and parts have been ordered or consumed, refunds will reflect the cost of work and materials already applied.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Pre-work assessment. For Case & Dial Refinishing and Complication & Heritage Overhaul services, a written assessment is prepared and shared with the client before any work is carried out. Work begins only after the client confirms agreement to the plan.

Documentation. Tikvault keeps a written record of all work carried out. For Heritage Overhaul services, a stage-by-stage log is maintained so the client can follow each decision made during the process.

Parts and components. Where original parts are available, we will source them where possible. Where they are not, we will discuss suitable alternatives with the client before proceeding. Tikvault does not use parts that would compromise the integrity of a timepiece without the client's knowledge.

Turnaround times. Indicative timeframes are provided at assessment. These are estimates rather than fixed commitments. Complex or vintage pieces may require additional time to source parts or investigate the movement thoroughly.

Confidentiality. Details of your timepiece, repair history, and any information you share will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of providing your service.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided with reasonable care and skill. However, watch repair involves inherent uncertainties, particularly with aged or vintage movements. We cannot make assurances about specific timekeeping accuracy beyond industry-standard tolerances.

Website content is provided for informational purposes. Descriptions of our services, techniques, and processes are intended to help you understand our approach, not to constitute professional advice on the condition or value of your timepiece.

We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions in a timepiece that are identified only during disassembly, provided we inform you before proceeding with any work that was not included in the original scope.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Tikvault's liability in connection with any service is limited to the price paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of use, sentimental value, or market value of any timepiece.

This limitation does not apply in cases of negligence causing physical damage to a timepiece during our care, or in any circumstance where Thai consumer protection law does not allow such limitation.

We maintain reasonable care and handling procedures for all timepieces in our possession. Force majeure events — including fire, flood, civil unrest, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control — are excluded from our liability.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold Tikvault harmless from any claims, costs, or losses that arise from your misrepresentation of ownership, provision of inaccurate information about a timepiece, or use of our website in a manner that violates these terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service arrangement before work begins, subject to any assessment fee as noted in Section 6. Once work is underway, withdrawal is subject to payment for the portion of work already completed.

Tikvault reserves the right to decline or discontinue a service if we identify concerns about ownership, if conditions of the timepiece fall outside our stated capabilities, or if communication with the client cannot be maintained over a reasonable period.

Provisions relating to payment, intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution survive any termination of the service arrangement.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from them shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

We encourage an informal resolution process first. If you have a concern about a service, please contact us directly at [email protected]. We aim to respond to all written complaints within 10 working days and to resolve straightforward matters without the need for formal proceedings.

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, either party may pursue mediation through the Thai Arbitration Institute or seek remedy through the Thai court system as appropriate.

13. General Provisions

Entire agreement. These terms, together with any written service record or assessment, constitute the full agreement between Tikvault and the client regarding the service in question.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Waiver. Failure by either party to enforce any provision at a given time does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. Tikvault may transfer obligations to a suitably qualified third party where necessary, with notice to the client.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to inform clients who have active service arrangements.

Continued use of our website or services following an update indicates your awareness of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
